“Women Take the Stage by Storm”-Crain’s Magazine

Twenty-Two years after the Vagina Monologues, the rage and reality of this play show that women still don't own their bodies.”—Chicago Reader

The Condition of Femme follows the learning curve of Reagan, a compassionate young woman working for a sexual assault hotline. Over the course of a year, callers and confidantes share their stories -- some heartfelt, some humorous, some very painful. Leaving her well-meaning naivete behind, Reagan becomes a gentle guide to female-identified persons coping with violence. When a line blurs between advocacy and intimacy, Reagan risks losing herself to the injustice of it all. Based on true stories, The Condition of Femme is a highly relevant new play, engaging broad audiences with realities of rape culture in America.

Semi Finalist— Ashland New Plays Festival 2023

Natalie returns to her childhood home in Indiana to stay with her dad, Bill, after several years overseas as a hydrologist on a water sourcing study.

Roe V. Wade has long been overturned, the borders are closed, but otherwise...not much has changed. Her re-indoctrination to the midwest is a led by their brassy neighbor Theresa Mae, and Bill, who would otherwise prefer not leave his armchair.

Natalie will soon discover that her own secret pales in comparison to the family ghosts. When a box of hidden birthday cards makes its way to the surface, she finds herself face to face with the mother she thought abandoned her while navigating a complicated pregnancy. Through the hilarity of our own humanity—How do we hold on to our beliefs when reality becomes unthinkable? And can we move forward when the ones we love fall short of our expectations?
